RECAP: Hurricanes hold on for a road win over Storm

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Halifax Hurricanes close out an Atlantic Division road trip on a high note.

In a close matchup against the Island Storm in Charlottetown, the Hurricanes came away with a 103-100 victory in regulation.

Billy White lead the Hurricanes with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and three assists. The big story of the afternoon is that Hurricanes captain, Cliff Clinkscales, has become the fourth player in NBL Canada history to reach 1,000 career regular season assists. Clinkscales ended the afternoon with 8 assists and 12 points.

Halifax stayed consistent throughout the game, fending off an early third quarter serge by the Storm.

Mike Poole, Ta'Quan Zimmerman and Antoine Mason all scored in the double digits for the Hurricanes' offensive efforts - 16, 13, and 10 respectively. CJ Washington also had a strong game on the boards with 8 rebounds.

The Hurricanes are back at home on Thursday, Feb. 1 against the Saint John Riptide.
